When we bought a (glued) tree trunk table, I already asked about the warranty because I had read that Suar wood is not always dried properly. The saleswoman immediately started to falter a bit and did not want to make firm commitments. I bought a table anyway because the top was about 7cm thick and I read that "wet" often occurs at> 9cm. Six months later, the blade has warped considerably and has a tear. Because the installers have not placed the inner screws of the base, I suspect that they know very well that this is happening, but are not honest about it at the time of sale. After all, if you were to place those screws, you have a better chance that the table will "break". Of course I am not sure whether they are aware of the quality of the wood they import, but based on the above, it looks like it.

Last Friday selected a nice table top and your legs. Got an explanation of how to sand and treat it. It was not usual that it could be taken right away because it had to be treated against woodworm first. After consultation, because we had already rented a trailer and arrived from Delft (an hour's drive), he quickly injected it and packed it so that we could still take it with us. the leaf has been in the shed for a day and a half so that it can air out / withdraw. today I sanded the top and provided it with a layer of lacquer and the top has become even more beautiful than it showed in the store. We bought a tree trunk table for our conservatory here. After a short period of time we had problems with the table because it had a large crack. As a service we could only get a new sheet (for which we also paid an additional fee because it was more expensive). However, the new leaf tears even worse. There is now a perpendicular shed of 2 meters on the adhesive seam. The table is not 1 whole, which is why it will tear. With us it is in the conservatory with weather influences. Perhaps this should also have been reported that a tree trunk table is not suitable for this. So we couldn't get a refund but got a new magazine where the problem has gotten even worse ....
