Bakker dé Houthandel

A good start to a disappointing ending. Bought a dining table with chairs at Bakker. The table had to be brought on Monday because there were two men on the truck. We were under the impression that the table was being brought up. That was a misunderstanding table was delivered at the door (in Amsterdam a table with 6 chairs on the sidewalk) hoping to get some more information to solve this problem called Bakker with the request to indicate as soon as possible when the table and chairs were brought. Got a lady on the phone could say nothing more than that there was a call half an hour in advance after some insistence I was barked by her and the phone was thrown at it. After calling again, I received more information to arrange something. Then the disappointment gets even bigger truck comes no two men had to lift the table top from the truck themselves wooden table top not packed or protected at all and two chairs not in box or protection. So there we stood with 6 chairs and an unprotected raw wooden table top on the sidewalk in Amsterdam. What a disappointment Bakker company and not even a sorry or an apology (except for the driver) very unfortunate.

Ordered an oak table top in April 2020. We got the wrong one first and I even had to prove it was the wrong one with pictures! When the top was there and we had it lying there for a week it turned out to be not even an oak top but plywood with a thin top layer of oak and the side was only a wide solid oak edge. We discovered this because the thin layer came off on the short side. Called this was not the case .. we left it at that point we were already done with Bakker de Houthandel! Now we found out that there is woodworm in the solid rim. We called Bakker to ask if they can help us. After all, that thing comes from them. After a call back I called myself, the response was "do you think you are the only thing I have to do after the weekend?" .. the tone was set to me, her was already standing up .. helpful was certainly not lady! I just had to search the internet and buy poison from a specialist. My husband made a second attempt by mail with pictures. Response; your wife had also called us, we cannot do anything with this, you can call vermin control or search the internet. A magazine of 400 euros and so to be fobbed off I find it downright scandalous !! I will therefore not advise anyone to buy from them!

Rude employee behind the counter (cranky with the glasses) has trouble listening and does not let customers finish. Was here to buy 120m2 spruce floorboards, but after the unpleasant reception, I am not spending my money here. A friendly employee in the warehouse did his best to help, but I decided to buy my equipment elsewhere. Fortunately, there are companies where you are received and helped in a positive way, such as Prins Houthandel in Purmerend. Bakker, if you take your reviews seriously, you will know exactly where the problem is in your workforce.

Unfortunately the plasterboard just did not fit in the car ... Measurement error at home! Nice man who said are you home tomorrow? Then we'll bring it along! 👍🏻 Piece of service so 'in the village' 😊

Good day. Always had good experiences. Unfortunately not with my last order. I had ordered a batch of wood by phone. When asked for advice screws would be required. You think neat advice! 5 days later a reorder of the same planks. The price was then 15% lower than the first order. Bakker also knew this price adjustment a week earlier. Called about this. Not called back. Called again and you get an answer which is so incoherent. I am therefore also dissatisfied with this situation because no value can be given to a price advice from Bakker's employee.
