Cold Springs Resort

Well, we did not stay! We made a reservation and came to check in and could not find a sign or anyone around to figure out where to check in. No lobby. We went through the doors that you would assume was the lobby and it was dark, old, smelly. Carpet was disgusting and there was mold on the ceiling. The doors to the right had a huge chain and lock (weird). We proceeded up the stairs and it was just a long hallway with numbered doors (very dirty, smelly and quite scary).At this point we decided not to stay. We heard the restaurant was good, but never made it that far ud83eudd14

This resort hotel was the dirtiest place my wife and I have ever seen. Carpetting was torn and dirty. The room was not clean, the toilet was filthy with multiple layers of rust. The water faucet leaked and the shower door only closed part way. There was no air conditioning, only a fan only one window opened part way. When we tried to check in there was no sign telling where to go. Finally found the bar entrance but the bartender had no idea about what to do. Some guy who was eating dinner came over and called someone to see if we had a registration. They took our money and gave us a key- had to ask how to find the room. Bottom line-- they should be arrested for false advertising.

We really like it here. Excellent restaurant right by the water. Plenty of places to eat nearby.

A pleasant early evening watching the water and eating some good fish n chips. The venue was all outside with few available tables. There is inside seating but no one was inside on this perfect day! We will return.

Shrimp dinner was good.
