Adding to what Heather Wireman said earlier is the fact that not only was our 1/4 beef not frozen when told to come pick it up, my in laws 1/4 was picked up together. Anytime we have had meat processed it is always frozen solid to insure safe travel! She was told it must be picked up because it was Labor Day weekend. My wife thawed out a roast last night and it was rotten this morning in the fridge.This is the second roast this way. Benefit of doubt was given on the first one. Today she called the owner and explained everything and drove to Shop to show him. He said ( after much unhappy discussion) he would refund her the processing fee and cost of both 1/4 beefs $1500-in which she brought in the receipts and rotted half thawed roast. She told him she would go home load up her mother’s and our meat and return it. So after 2 trips, loading and unloading 2 freezers he let her arrive with van full of meat and then told her he changed his mind and we are out of luck! Deciding our options at this point in time. Buyers definitely Beware from a Business that treats people this way!! Zero stars unfortunately had to give 1 to make review to warn others!

Absolutely disgusting. Should have known not to use him after seeing how gross his shop was in the first place. We bought 1/4 cow from him and he didn't even freeze the meat thoroughly. Meat all unsafe now, all of the roasts we bought are completely rancid. Drove to get a refund, he told us he would only give us a refund if we brought him the rest of the meat. After 2 two hour trips, he decided to feed us BS about suddenly, two hours later, changing him mind on the refund. Slammed the door in our face and refused to fix his mistake of not thoroughly freezing the meat. Out over a grand and he refuses to give us any sort of refund. Beyond unprofessional!

I picked up my full beef and it was packaged well. I had no problems with any of my meat. Friendly staff and I love Grampa's stories. This is my 2nd beef i had processed there. They are a small family owned operation and do things old school. If you want state of the art processing this is not your place.

Wish I could leave negative stars, buyer beware. Flies in the processing room, made me pick up meat that wasn't frozen because it was a holiday weekend. Now my roasts are spoiled when I defrost them to cook. He won't do anything about it. Nasty owner to go along with the nasty processing room. FYI...not USDA inspected. Only checked a few times a year by state health board in Indy.
