Comfort Inn & Suites Mishawaka-South Bend

My son is in colleget at Mishawaka and we plan to stay in town often, but we had a horrible experience this past weekend. My husband went to the casino on Friday Sept. 4th and came back at 2 in the morning. The front door was locked and he rang the door bell like the sign said and called the front desk 6x. He stood outside 30 minutes before the rude receptionisht finally answered!!!! She obviously was sleeping or just didn't want to do her job. Then the AC wasn't cold. The fan button wouldn't work in our room and we had to put the AC on 60 and it still wasn't super cold. The bedspread and sheets were also a wrinkled mess. My husband is a choice member and we normally have wonderful stays, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel in Mishawaka to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the couch in our room was disgusting. stained and crumbs. if I can't self serve a coffee then furniture should be vacuumed and cleaned. no shower curtain. i went downstairs to get a coffee but had to wait 15 min as the server was dishing out 5 meals. coffee can be self served with no worries of contact for covid. im fairly certain the toilet paper holder is not santized in the rooms especially when furniture is filthy.

Found a backpack belonging to the previous guest in plain sight... Not sure how seriously they're cleaning/disinfecting rooms for COVID-19 if the cleaning staff missed an entire backpack. Light above the sink flickered as well. Then the A/C unit just stopped working entirely after my wife and I were already in bed; we had to move rooms in the middle of the night. The NEXT room was missing hand towels and the sink would stop working. The staff wasn't particularly friendly or considerate at night either. I'd recommend staying somewhere else in the area if you actually value comfort or a sanitary environment.

Absolutely amazing customer service from every staff member. After having a terrible experience the 2 days before at the Quality Inn the front desk supervisor Shanice was very accommodating and just so nice and kind!!! She really knows how to take care of a guest & I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when I come to South Bend to visit next time. Kayla at the desk was also great! Very personable and welcoming. Thanks So much to both of you ladies for turning my visit around from being horrible to wonderful!!!

I have stayed here many times. The amenities are exactly what I need-- refrigerator, free wifi, and plenty of charging ports. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There was a problem with my room and they immediately fixed it.
