Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Visiting from out of state; got a table rather quickly. Had the salmon entree with broccoli, and unlimited salad/bread sticks to start. Everything was excellent, my server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

My experience began with lime stained silverware and an apologetic wait staff who couldn't explain why the water softener wasn't repaired. Everything had a film on it. Even the menu screen was filthy. The only reason we're giving this good of a rating is because the staff really wanted to provide good service. The food was average and both of us had heartburn through the night. We should have gone next door to Longhorn. This clientele reminded me of the day I found PeopleofWalmart.com, the language and eating habits of the people surrounding us was atrocious. The worst thing about it was that we were given a $50 gift certificate as a birthday gift and felt obligated to finish our meal because our Nephew's generosity. We used to like Olive Garden. Not sure if I can ever go back to this specific restaurant again.

The food is always pretty good (for an Olive Garden) and the staff seem very knowledgeable and respectful. The reason why I am giving this review four stars instead of five is because the restaurant has a cleanliness issue most often. There will always be trays of dirty plates somewhere while the server goes off and gets something. The floor (which is mostly carpeting) is stained and can have multiple varieties of pasta on it. The tables are always hit or miss, but most often they feel sticky to the touch, which may be the result of a cleaning product, but is still very off-putting.

There this evening with a large group for a birthday. Although everyone in the group seemed to really like the service, food, etc., I'm just not that impressed. There service was great. I'm just not crazy about the food. I had the Taste of Italy which has three entrees on it so I could get an idea of the food instead of just ordering one thing. I'm not saying I would go back again, but this is not on my favorite restaurant list. Go check it out for yourself. It might just be me. Had a great time and again the service and atmosphere we're fantastic.
