Kankakee Grille South Bend

Ordered fried chicken, what I received was some kind of boneless chicken tenders smothered in salty gravy. The menu said frien chocked with mashed potatoes and gravy. Any reasonable person would assume the gravy would be on the potatoes, but no. I left hungry. They no longer have the lasagna, Kankakee has really gone downhill since the menu changed. I only gave 2 stars instead of 1 because it wasn’t the waitresses fault that the food sucked.

Made reservations online for my party of four, and son's birthday. No disclosure or notes of their new policy barring minors from the family restaurant.

I'm a well travelled welder and i have been in many places with great food, this grill was a very nice experience, great prepared food with charming customer service, i highly recommend this grill. thank you for the great care Kankakee staff.nnSincerely

We found ourselves on the south side and decided to try dinner at the casino for the first time. We went to the Kankakee Grill. Not having a reservation, we had to sit at the (full menu) bar. Not an issue, since we could watch the hockey game, and could hear the live music. Service was good. I had the roast beef, a little tough, but the potatoes and gravy and veggies were good. Wife had the lake perch, and she enjoyed it. We both felt that we would have expected better for the price.

The presentation and food has never failed me yet.
