If you're in the mood for fried chicken, it's hard to beat this spot. The menu is small and focused totally on their children options, but it's worth it. The chicken sandwich was a great size and combined with the spicy honey, the flavor was great. Sides are large and intended for sharing. They have a good sized beer menu with some good options on tap. My only complaint was that our waitress was slow and not very friendly. But the quality of the food made up for this.

The experience and drinks were amazing. The staff was awesome and very attentive.nnThe drinks were great. Well balanced and easy to drink. The staff were wonderful, offering advice and asking questions to make sure they got the right offerings for us. Erin(sp?) was absolutely a pleasure. She was willing to offer suggests needed and spot on with each one. She alone is worth returning.nnWe ordered bacon and hush puppy appetizers to eat, however they came out so quick, we couldn't believe they were made to order. They were room temperature at best, fairly unappetizing but mostly edible with lots and lots of sauce. They would be amazing if served hot from the fryer but unfortunately ours weren't.

Visited this place yesterday in the evening for the first time. My waiter was nice/okay. I thought the food was pretty good except for the sweet potato they needed a little bit more cinnamon and sugar. The chicken was the highlight of the meal. I eat my chicken with hot sauce all the time. I didn’t even need hot sauce or the honey sauce!! The mac and cheese was good as well. The sides are so big you can share with an additional person. Great place!

This spot is one of my favorites. Did a great job with social distancing. Right I would warn you to make a reservation but believe me its all worth it. Must try their 1/2 chicken with honey sauce.. best chicken downtown (my opinion lol)..

As a former southerner, I enjoy getting back to all my favorites: collards, fried chicken, etc.... The Eagle did not disappoint in terms of quality. Be sure to try the side dishes, which were very fairly priced so we could get multiple for our 7 person group. Parking can be tough on Massachusetts Avenue, so be prepared to walk a block or so. We went at an off hour so it was not hard to get a table. Service was good, but a little slow. No complaints, a solid 4 star experience.
