This place is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. The ppl that work here has very bad attitudes. I was a new donor and had to go through the process twice. On top of that I made my appointment time and they had to reschedule later me 2 hours later. The lady Debra took my blood pressure wrong. This place is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL and I will definitely be going to CSL plasma center instead.

Started out good but now its just as bad as the rest of them they don't answer the phones I had to come up there and reschedule twice because day one by a miracle I got a answer and she said I don't do an appointment then when I got there everyone else made an appointment and they was booked for new people that day the second day I get there and their machine for new patients physicals was broke which they should have called and canceled all the new people then .. I need to apply here because it don't seems like anyone has to do much .

This location is most convenient for me, but the Griffith plasma center is far superior. The merrillville location requires appointments, while Griffith is walk in. No one ever answers the phone at merrillville so it's very difficult to make an appointment. The atmosphere here leaves much to be desired as well. I think they keep the thermostat at about 30°, so it's absolutely freezing and therfore very uncomfortable for the donors. Also i bring my kindle and prefer to quietly read a book while donating, but often times they have had sleezy nightclub music playing at full blast which makes that impossible. Even with my headphones on it was impossible to drown it out.

I've been donating plasma for 10 years, I give three stars because of the fact that returning donors must make an appointment to be seen, or wait all day for someone to cancel to be seen as a walk in. They tell you that you can't wear hats, staff is overall pretty nice, the apherisis machines are the best, nice building. If they fixed the issue regarding returning donors they would get the five stars.
