Northwest Health - Portage

Went to portage urgent care cause I heard and felt a pop than instant pain the doctor said it ain't broke you strand a joint in your wrist. Take ibuprofen i said I can't take it because of surgery in July his reply was okay don't take than!!!! Do you want a brace?? No I just wanted to give you my co pay than go to cvs and buy a brace.will not go back there or anywhere that's northwest health.

Back in November I went to this hospital, for them to tell me I just had a cold. I then, still not feeling better, went to the valpo ER where they told me I had the flu and a bad upper respiratory infection. Fast forward to October 2020, I decide to give this hospital one last chance. Got tested for covid a week ago, kept calling for my results in which I kept getting the run around. Then the in charge doctor “Shepard“ laughed, and said she didn’t know.nSo unprofessional. And will not be returning.

Honestly not impressed. Went in to the ER to try and get help for my daughter her was having suicidal thoughts. Took a blood test then locked us in an empty room with no windows paintings nothing just a bed. FOR 7 HOURS. And they barely had any patients at the time love that Porter!

The place is literally horrific. I had someone in the room next to me crying for help; an Alzheimer's patient then they just ignored the man in the E.R. then when I asked if they could give him adavan to help him calm down they gave ME adavan instead. Dr. Kester is the worst doctor to have lived. No wonder she is unmarried.

I had a minor wound with a high chance of infection. At 10 p.m. on a Saturday night my treatment was quick, curtious, extremely profession and informative. I felt like I was in good hands and now 24 hours later, no signs of infection. This is my nearest care center and I feel confident coming here for any future emergencies (although I hope to never need the service again).
