Had dinner at One13 North with a group of friends on a Saturday evening. The place was busy, but that didn’t affect the service or the quality of the food. Both were outstanding! The manner in which the staff worked not just our table, but the others in the restaurant showed they cared about providing a good experience to their patrons. We had several appetizers before our meal - loaded tots, wings and crab cakes. All were excellent; crisp, proper temperature throughout and the garnishes were fresh. I had a cheddar burger cooked medium-rare; it was perfect temperature made-to-order. The portion was perfect and the burger melted in my mouth - another home-run in my opinion! Add in the speciality craft cocktails and a thoughtful, balanced, rotating list of local/regional craft beer on draft and in bottles and you’ve got an establishment that has its own unique character. There are many local options available on the Square in Crown Point, but this one has a feel all its own; a vibe that’s inviting and friendly. I highly recommend it - from the drinks to the food to the staff, this place gets it!!
Had the chicken wings w Korean sauce... was so delicious and chicken fell off the bone. Fried were made perfect!! Also had the Bao Bun Crunchy Shrimp and was the best I ever had. Food and drinks were beyond good!! My server Ashley gave the best service and very attentive. I highly recommend this place!!
I’ve lived in Cedar Lake my whole life and never went to 113 until now. This restaurant is a great place to unwind, grab a burger, and get drinks with friends. The food is amazing and the is staff incredible!! The workers Ashley and Brooke helped my boyfriend and I and all I can say was they were phenomenal. Both were on their toes and always came with great attitudes. This is definitely a place to go to if you’re stopping by the square, especially with food and workers like these girls. HIGHLY recommend!!
We were seated on the front patio in the shade on a windy day. After sitting there for 10 mins and ordering 1 drink I was feeling cold and wishing that we were in the sun. We politely asked if there were any tables available on the side patio in the sun that we could move to. We also made sure to say that if it wasnt possible that it was okay, we werent trying to be difficult.. Our original waitress told us that they usually use those tables for larger groups, but if we really wanted to move that we could go back inside and ask the hostess to reseat us. We decided to go for it since it was cold and we wanted to enjoy our much needed/long overdue date night. Once we took our drinks with us to our new table that the hostess seated us at, we noticed that every table except 1 had just couples at them... so the fact that they made the comment of those tables usually being for larger groups rubbed us the wrong way since it felt like we were being difficult, but we brushed it off. We noticed that there were about 2-3 waitresses waiting the tables on the side patio, none of them were our original waitress. After 15-20 minutes of sitting at our new table, not 1 waitress came to our table/even looked in our direction when trying to make some eye contact to flag them down. They had checked on their other tables at least 4 times in the time that we were sitting there. It felt like we were being ignored, and not sure if we were being treated that way for wanting a new table? We truly were not being difficult or rude when we asked to move. I have never left a bad review for a business before, but this really did stink when we were really looking forward to finally having a night out. Since they didn't come back to our table looked on the menu to see how much our drinks cost and left money on the table.
Absolutely love going to One13North. The food & drinks are always well made. The service there is great, and my personal favorite waitress is Ashley. You don't ever have to ask her twice and is constantly making sure you have everything you need!
