Shoe Carnival

As a former employee of this store in Kokomo, Indiana for almost 3 years. I quit because of pressure from the condescending GM and no backing from remaining Management. I did not meet shoe perks sign up quota and constantly got reminded of it by the GM. He is very arrogant and demeaning! He said I was insubordinate! I said you can’t force customers to sign up for shoe perks if they don’t want to! Management can’t even get people to sign up for shoe perks or meet their quota either but they pressure employees. I was forced to work on register because of their large employee turnover! Employees quittIng! GM also referred to me as a “shoe donkey” in front of customers when I was unloading a case of shoes. That was degrading and embarrassing! I know they lost a dedicated employee in me. I never called in sick at all. I never called off on a work day and management always called me to come in if someone else called off! I worked their because I needed the money! GM is very condescending and acts like you should feel lucky to be working for him! He and the rest of management on down the ladder are in their own little clique and never praise employees. They talk about employees behind their backs. They just use them to get out of them what they can.

The store was very clean, all the employees were wearing mask. Which is very important during this Corona virus pandemic. My friend was shopping for a couple of pairs tennis shoes and found exactly what she wanted!nOur trip was definitely successful. Greeted at the door. Clean sales floor. Had some great 1/2 price deals. Honestly, if it wasn't for in store promotions.. a little pricey on most items.

Store was nice and organized, but when I asked about the 1/2 off discount, she said they dont do that very often. That's why I went there to begin with, yet someone else here mentioned getting the discount.nnNext time I'll go to kohls and get $20 back in kohls cash.

The best..the store manager is very nice and the people who work there
