From the start this place was great! Called for some info and got it very quickly! Once we got there we walked through to check the place out and it was clean, they had a very nice variety of fish, and the hermit crabs we were looking into getting. The staff was super friendly and and polite, and there was someone available to answer questions near by every time we needed it. They helped ensure we got everything we needed for our kids new little pets and even gave us a couple of extra shells because it looked as if they were already about to grow out of the current ones. We weren’t pressured to buy things that we didn’t need and the package that was put together by the gentleman that helped us was budget friendly! ( We had anticipated that it was all going to cost quite a bit more! So that was a huge bonus and a win for us!) we will forever take the nice ride down there from Anderson, for all of our pets needs from here on out! Big thanks to the staff for helping us and our two boys (4/2) pick out and find what we needed! And a big shout out to the super friendly fluffy cat by the exit (Buddy) i think was his name, for allowing my boys to give him some love on the way out!

Love the diversity of saltwater fish, however the nano tanks are often very dirty and covered in algae and debris. I really really wish you guys would present the saltwater tanks in a nicer way than the current situation. Daily cleaning?? I understand if you are short staffed...however I know someone can offer services!

1. Was told the kittens we were looking at were from a pet rescue.... 2. Was told they sometimes get them from the Humane Society when they can't get them elsewhere.... 3. Was told the Humane Society won't even take donations from Uncle Bill's anymore.... 4. Found two kittens we wanted and was told $400 for each. Employees told us these things. They can try and justify it all they want, but those two rescue kittens would have found a good, loving home had it not been for the outrageous price. Maybe this is why the Humane Society won't have anything to do with Uncle Bills.

The staff is not very helpful, especially when you are looking for something specific. They will say they aren't sure, but do not find anyone else who can help. Too many staff members and managers who won't take responsibility when they make mistakes. Poorly run small time business. Running around store being silly. Spend your time and money at a larger more professional chain or online. Get animals at a rescue or shelter.
