Ascension Medical Group Heart Care

Staff for the emergency room was amazing!! HOWEVER, my husband was having a heart attack and when Dr Yee came into the room, he was so rude. He told my husband, the hospital should not let him have the procedure done. All, because my husband kept telling him he has major health issues with cholesterol medicine, three different kinds he has taken that had an adverse serious effect. This doctor caused undo stress on a patient that was already having heart issues and in the middle a heart issue. This has been his hospital for years but we will not longer go there. This doctor put my husband into more of a health risk. If I could of found a way to contact the administrator directly I would of however, I have searched for information to contact to no avail.

Their billing and office processes leave much to be desired. My insurance company sent an $800 payment from my Health Reimbursement Account and St. Vincent did not apply it to the bill, they just kept the money and turned our account over to collections. Even after several calls from United Healthcare, St. Vincent has yet to apply the HRA payment to the bill. Very frustrating. If you happen to use this medical provider, follow up on your insurance payments and bills immediately.

Being new to the area, i didn’t know what to expect about this facility. Since coming here ALL the staff has been amazing. Danielle, I believe that works the information desk. Simply gives the best customer service I have ever had. I have since referred this hospital to others in the area. Peace be with you all. -J

Friendly, professional staff. Never wait long in waiting room. Dr. Veerkamp is the reason I'm alive today! VERY thankful for this great group of specialists.

Everyone, from cleaning crew up to doctors, was extremely nice and always smiling. You could tell that they loved working there. The nurses and their helpers were exceptionally great!!! However, when I checked out, the case manager told me that I could no longer come to their facility, because my cardiologist and primary doctor were from a different hospital facility and I refused to change them for one of their doctors. This hospital is closest to me and my family and in an emergency this is where I was taken. This just doesn't seem fair to me, since the hospital my doctors are with is at least 3 times as far.
