We had the best experience when we were fortunate to have Phaysy Allen as our Mortgage Officer. The way she stayed in touch with us and the extra time she spent to make sure that we able to buy our house made the whole process go very smoothly. We would definitely recommend her if you need to purchase a home.

I have banked with Unitus for 15+ years now and have always enjoyed their customer service, caring and attention to detail. We just went through a refinance working with Phaysy out of the Salem branch and she was great. She explained every part of the process in detail, followed up on all of my questions quickly and patiently and kept me informed every step of the way. She has a great attitude and is always very pleasant to talk to. Like almost everyone else, her job is clearly harder to do with all that is going on in the world right now, but she never let it show. I would and will happily continue to use them for any banking and lending needs

I have been a member at this credit union for 47 yrs.I have given them a 5 star rating always...I'm changing that today regarding their closure of their ofc this week, citing covid issues and the fire situation in Oregon. Grocery srores are open, many restaurants are open, banks and barbershops are open. Workers by the thousands are working outdoors and you can't bring your employees to work inside, in a controlled environment? Give me a break!

For years Nathan Adams has been a teller at the Salem Branch. He has always been friendly and helpful. Due to COVID 19 I haven’t been to the branch in months but this past Friday I had to go into the branch out of necessity. Nathan recognized me despite me wearing a mask and asked how I was doing. Out of frustration I unloaded on a current issue that I was having with opening a new account. Nathan said “I tell you what I can call you tomorrow and talk you through” ... well the cool thing was “tomorrow” was Saturday and sure enough he called exactly when he said he would! So great big shout out to Nathan Adams! What great customer service is that!!nBrook

Don't expect to purchase anything online through Unitus. I've been with them for more than two years, and throughout my time with Unitus I've been blocked from making online purchases at least once a month. To add insult to injury, customer service hours are effectively business hours, meaning if you work a 9-5, you have an extremely limited window of time to be able to reach them. Their mobile app has improved dramatically (the only reason this isn't a one star review) but overall, if you're looking for a frustrating, mind-numbingly backwards credit union, Unitus is for you.
