Lutheran Hospital

My baby had scheduled outpatient surgery with a surgeon who doesn't directly work for Lutheran. The surgeon and his staff were fantastic as they are not part of this review. What I am referring to is the situation at a hospital during a surging pandemic which is nowhere near acceptable from my personal perspective.nnTo start with, having to come in for a scheduled pediatric surgery, we had to come through the same entrance as any ER patient meaning of course there's s chance to come in contact with covid sick people. The reason for this was that the children's hospital entrance wasn't open as early as we were scheduled to come in so we were told we had to use that entrance. Why putting healthy patients who are undergoing surgery at a higher risk than necessary? There must be a better solution.nnSecondarily, a very friendly nurse/ office worker at the ER admission I had asked for the way, thought it was appropriate to pull her mask BELOW her chin to talk to and smile at my baby who is too small to wear a mask. I know she didn't mean any harm but we have to be resilient in avoiding viral transmission especially in a hospital setting.nnThirdly, some staff at surgery registration was very kind and others were just not even able to greet or were fully ignorant of one's presence.nnRestroom alert: When I had to use the restroom, I was in disbelieve that two of the four toilets had absolutely no toilet paper, were dirty as in dusty hairy and peed on the floor while the janitor was outside of the restrooms with the cleaning cart playing on his cell phone. Again, hospitals should especially be clean during such precedent times! In several hours we were there, the condition didn't change. I heard other women warning one another not to use those two restrooms.nnLast but not least the recovery room. The recovery room shares children and adult patients which I don't find great. I think adults belong to their own completely separate section. Again, some of the nurses were very friendly and caring while others wouldn't even acknowledge when you talk to them.nnThe two star rating is based on those health workers who tried their best, who cleaned and sanitized, were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable at keeping themselves and patients healthy.nnAn outpatient surgery facility charging five figure digits should from my understanding be better than this.

I had a very bad experience and I am not happy with the way this hospital works... I booked an appointment for physician visit and the appointment was at 1pm. I arrived 1/2hr early to do my paperwork and it’s been 2 hours and the doctor did not show up... they made me to sit in a room for 1 hour with not proper ventilation and it was suffocating. I really doubt this is a very well know network of hospital coz of the way they treat and take care of their patients.nnTo summarize I will never go back to this hospital and also will suggest my friends and family to stay away from this. They are not professional, irresponsible and bad very bad at service

This is the 2nd procedure I have had done at this facility. Both times the nurses were extremely rude.

They always mess up on billing.

My mum used to go here 4 cancer treatment but died from the treatment.....but this is her daughter Emma!!! I love the ice cold ice in the cafeteria it's tasty!! I'm turning into my mum she loved ice!!! Ice is a delicious treat anytime of the day
