Allen Edmonds

Brian is fantastic and will go above and beyond! Haven’t had the chance to interact with his other staff but when the manager approaches customer service like Brian does, I’m sure the whole team follows. Once I convince Allen Edmonds to open a store in Duluth MN I plan to recruit him to my city. Oh wait, probably easier for me to just move to Indianapolis. ud83dude02

I photograph weddings in addition to my day job, so I often have to be on my feet all day. I've mostly purchased shoes based on looks and figured that my feet could take the abuse. If only I'd have paid more attention to them. I now have plantars fasciitis and had surgery to remove a bone spur. I also have narrow feet and now wear a custom orthotic. Getting formal shoes that don't kill my feet is nearly impossible. So I went to Allen Edmonds and tried on about 12 out of the 25 lasts they carry, I wanted an oxford style that worked with my orthotics. I found the Carlyle in chili, bought one pair and liked it so well that I purchased a second pair in black. I also bought the Wilbert and now own a second pair. I've walked in both of these for 8 to 10 hour stretches and I still can't believe how comfortable they are. My feet are still tired at the end of the day, but without the aching pain I had with the other non-Allen Edmonds shoes. I've occasionally gone back to some of the other 10 pairs of formal shoes I have just to get some my money's worth out of them and barely made it past 1/2 hour before my feet were throbbing. For me, Allen Edmonds is as close to a custom shoe I can get without spending thousands of dollars. As a bonus, they're made in the USA of very high quality. I expect to get 10 or 15 years out of them with proper care using a shoe tree and occasional leather conditioning. They hold their shape very well with constant use. They're simply the best shoes I've every owned.

Nice belts! The place is for men's shoes, belts etc. Don't come in a rush. You will pay the price for things that last if you take care of them.
