It took me 3 visits because I wouldn't put forth the effort.on the 3rd visit i was successful. I learned a little bit each time. Now i am 9 months sober and feel better than i did 20 years ago! I committed suicide and ended up at this facility and they saved my life! You have to want to get better and ask for help. You are in charge of your life, dont be afraid to ask for help. It's the best investment i have ever made! Everyone there was helpful and nice. Joe was really awesome at guiding me to the right path. Thanks for saving me!.......I am now 3years amd 3 months sober! If I can do it anyone can!43 surgeries amd now I'm sober healthy and happy amd volunteer speaking to patients at Fairbanks

Brought my 14 year old son here due to self harm, suicidal ideation and a plan to take his life. We’re still sitting in a consultation room 12 hours later. They’ve already decided he needs to be admitted, but they have no beds available so they’re trying to find somewhere to send him. But they give NO updates unless I track someone down to get them and it’s always the same thing. “Everyone is at capacity so we’re waiting to see if anyone has any discharges.” Considering I have 4 other children at home, it would’ve been nice to know this was going to be a 12+ hour affair when I called before we even came from 2 hours away.

In all honesty, I understand that the main reason for this was for prevention and keeping others safe. However, once enduring it myself, the system needs to be changed. Going there for help, I received no therapeutic help. All that was done in group was the completion of activities and then communicating the activity that we did. By going here, nothing changed with my mental health. I understand that it is my mind that determines my change, but with not even an hour of therapy for the 5 days that I was there, there were no benefits. The only change that had occurred was having different anti-depressants prescribed to me, which to me, is not enough help. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of help and therapy from the staff. It was not comforting at all. Do not recommend.

I hated it there. Nobody told be where i was going, what i was waiting on or why i had to stay. Nobody told me what time it was, how long id been there, what time i got admitted. They didn't give me food, and i was starving. When a lady finally came to talk to me after hours of me being there. She asked me no more than 5 questions and didn't take my responses seriously or acknowledged the fact that i had a mental disorder. Some officers would clock in, Not talk to me, and some even left the building. Over all was a terrifying experience and they seriously need to fix the system. If anything it just made my condition worse. The only good thing was a nice man who told me i was on speed detention, what ever that means, and he talked to me about his daughter.

during visitation i was having mental breakdown and the nurses at the desk did NOTHING. the only nurses that were kind and that actually cared for our well being was Ashlee(ee) and Eraka our night nurses.
