Patients be aware! Check your insurance coverage before procedure! The surgery center is not billed the same as the hospital. The surgery center is considered a tier 2 for profit facility. Meaning coverage by some insurance carriers is greatly reduced. Do your homework or expect significantly higher deductibles and copay. My insurance carrier is anthem.

I would strongly advise against using this medical facility. They have no compassion for financial hardships. They go solely based off income when it comes to financial assistance . It does not matter if you temporarily cannot work and it doesn't matter what kind of financial hardship you have. They will send you to collections after just two payments being lower than what they want. I made payments but because they were not as high as they wanted, they sent me to collections anyway.nnI would recommend going to a non for profit hospital. One that actually cares about its patients instead of seeing them as dollar signs.

Great experience, everyone we encountered were excellent. It was a nice facility. They took great care of my wife!

My surgery was scheduled for 3:30 pm and I was asked to be there by 3:00. Our family had to plan accordingly to accommodate our work schedules thus planning to arrive by 2:45. On our way to the surgery center, we received a call asking if they could move my surgery up because the doctor was ready for me. I told them we would be arriving by 2:50 because we were told to be there by 3:00. The nurse seemed agitated by my inability to spontaneously be present at the surgery center BEFORE my scheduled time. She warned me that they would rush me through to accommodate my doctor who was waiting for me. Upon arrival, I was indeed rushed through. After surgery, I had adverse symptoms related to my general anesthesia. When the surgery center called two days later to ask how I was doing, I explained my symptoms and the nurse told me very sarcastically to take my pain meds! I was experiencing facial numbness, muscle pain throughout body and tightness, muscle twitching and a painful mouth, throat, teeth, and jaw all unrelated to the female surgery I had undergone. When I called the surgery center to inquire about my anesthesia, I was told to pick up my surgery file from medical records (I had already done that). Then they said I should look at the medication list from the anesthesiologist and figure out what caused the symptoms. Really? I am not a doctor! Never did they offer to help me figure out what happened to cause the symptoms that lasted SIX days post surgery. I am now trying to figure this out so I won’t have a bad experience again. It took SIX phone calls and messages to get someone to return my phone call. I am presently waiting for anesthesia to call me back. Hopefully, now three weeks post surgery, I will get the answers I need. I will not be returning to Community North Surgery Center.

I highly recommend this surgical center. The staff worked together well as a team in a professional, compassionate, and positive atmosphere. As a patient, I felt secure and confident that my care was of the highest quality.
