The Firehouse Restaurant & Lounge

Visited about a month ago and had the deluxe clam chowder and fish and chips. Both were delicious. Chowder was thick and very clammy. Fish was fried just right and the garlic fries had fresh garlic, not just powder. Hubby and I split the two and it was the perfect light lunch.nnVisited again yesterday and got a Reuben with garlic fries to share. Again, delicious and perfectly done.nnTheir prices are good for the amount of food you get.nnAs a side note, they are doing takeout only now but there are lovely little tables right across the street. Yesterday there was even someone playing violin nearby and the whole experience was delightful.

Fun place to be on Saturday night. Good to consider reservations. Karaoke Host, Dan, is wonderful. Lots of great choices. He is very personable. Lots of good singers. Family owned business. Food is okay but the service can be slow at times. We've gone entire evenings and didn't' have to order anything. If you want a drink, best to order at the bar an be patient. Lots of “regulars”.

The food and service was good! The clam chowder was flavorful, though maybe too chunky and thick for my taste. Everyone has different preferences though. The kids menu is really great, and all my kids loved the food! My oldest two especially enjoyed the clam chowder with the garlic cheese bread. The kids menu mac and cheese was absolutely delicious, though I don't recommend reheating it. Overall, a positive experience and it beats a 45 minute wait at Mo's!

I never heard about this place or really got around other than the beach an Mo's. This is by far the best place to go! I love there clam chowder an their Mac an chesse is amazing! My new favorite place to come to when we visit! Won't go anywhere else! Amazing staff ❤ufe0fexcited to go back there tonight!

So we went there and had the try tip and crispy fries which was great & BLT , the clam chowder was 9 out of 10 ,the waitress was awesome (Cat) then we went back another time later in the another day and had the clam chowder it was microwaved and not hot ,not the same very disappointed. Tried it again September 11 and Cat wasn’t there , and had to get our own beer twice and was ignored, very disappointing we went to another restaurant to eat. So I guess to sum it up it’s hit or miss unfortunately it’s not consistent some waitresses are great and some aren’t attentive to your needs, I understand when you’re busy it’s not easy and we were not impatient we were willing to wait but we didn’t get the service that we thought we should. We might give it another try but will definitely make sure that the waitress Cat is there.
