I go there because they the food, people and service are the best. And that's why I keep going back.

I went on New Year's and it wasn't busy at all. They were friendly as I watched the game from some glances. The food was really good, I had their burger and beer battered fries, tasted great with the sauce. Lemonade had a taste I hadn't yet experienced and was sour and sweet which is what you'd expect. Timely refills. Overall I enjoyed it. Historical bar and probably some good times that unfortunately I didn't have a chance to experience. I'm here for a short while, but would recommend.

Happened to be passing through looking for a good place to grab dinner. We were trying to find a place that had a decent variety of food and didn’t break the bank, but that also wasn’t Denny’s or Sharis. I was looking at the pictures and the Ruben caught my eye. Looked super yummy. My wife wanted fish and chips and a grilled cheese. The waitress (who I assume was one of the owners) was the only one working and we were the only ones dining. She said that she can do everything but the Ruben sandwich. My wife and I laughed as that’s what I decided I was getting before we even showed up. And she proceeds to tell me that with only one person working and other people ordering food it can be hard to make the Ruben as it’s a process to make. I wasn’t worried about it and was going to order something else but she said it shouldn’t be a big deal and went ahead and made it for me. The grilled cheese was just an all around great classic grilled cheese sandwich. Super yummy buttery bread with cheddar cheese. Definitely hit the spot. The fish and chips were a little over done but were still super good. I want to be very clear with my review of the Ruben. I have never had a Ruben sandwich before. But I love corned beef and I don’t really mind sauerkraut so I thought this was a no brainer. This is where my review gets difficult. I am not going to say the Ruben was bad. I didn’t love it but I have nothing to compare it to. It wasn’t bad I can say that. The corned beef was a little tough no not as soft as slow cooked corned beef. But I will say that this family ran pub that’s been around for a long time is a great little spot for good beer and great food. I would definitely come back and support this business.

Great ambiance, awesome service and very tasty food. This couple run pub (yes! It’s just the husband and his wife running the show) really hits the spot. Busy and bustling, but that’s how you know it’s good!
