Select Specialty Hospital - Northeast NJ

I am one of the nurses who got COVID19 when no one knew about it ,, it really affected me very bad. I was intubated and then trached. At some point I thought I may not be able to wake up again. My sister didn’t give up on me and helped with my transfer to Select Specialty Hospital. I stayed there for almost 5 weeks,, everyone there went above and beyond to get me stronger. I was then transferred to Keasler Rehab which is also part of Select specialty hospital, they both have great medical team. I am a nurse and I strongly recommend this facility to every patient may need such a great LTACH.

I owe almost everything to Select Specialty Hospital and its wonderful staff. After coming out of a two week coma and the doctors not believing I would ever recover, my therapists at Select Hospital accomplished the impossible. They made me strong enough to stand and support my own body weight when previously it was unimaginable. Without the staff at Select Specialty Hospital I wouldn’t almost be walking independently or doing so well that I and the very same doctors that doubted me can’t believe. My amazing therapists Angela and Liehl believed in me more than I believed in myself and made the impossible possible.

My father was transferred from Cooper University Hospital to Select Specialty Hospital for respiratory management and rehab.He has trach, vent and peg.I have to say that I am not only satisfied but thrilled with the care he received starting from the Admission Team to Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, CNA’s, Rehab, Doctors, Everyone including the CEO. Everyone was fully involved in my father’s name care. I would love to give them more than 5 stars with everything they did,Thank you all.

My mom and grandma , both were infected with COVID-19 and end up having respiratory issues. After exploring some LTACH hospital in NJ since there weren’t any in NY , we had chosen Select Specialty Hospital. My family and I were kinda worried and thought they may not feel better one day. The staff were great and worked very hard to wean them off the vent then they got to be transferred to a rehab facility close to us in NY. We still can’t believe it , we are all thankful to Select specialty hospital , it’s Staff and doctors.

My mother was a patient at SSH for quite a few weeks. I will give them 5 Stars for the care they’ve given to my mom when she was there but I do wish they would work with us a little better and be more understanding at the end when they decided it was time to leave but we felt we needed more time.nThey have some great/caring people working there. The few I need to give a shout out to is Oleg Rivkin the President who would go out of his way to help with even minor things like making sure the zoom computer is facing the patient and more. At that point, we were also dealing with Maha from admissions who would always be there to help with anything she can. I hear she is now the liaison which I can only imagine how helpful she is to the families who need any help.nKeep up the good work!!!
