Bergen New Bridge Medical Center

I was just at the Same Day Surgery section of the medical center and I have a very warm experience at this place from receptionist to the nurses. They were very professional and friendly. They made me feel relaxed all the way to the surgery room. I could not imagine feeling this way about a medical place since I hate being inside one of these places. I would go back without a doubt if I need to for my next surgical check up.

So disorganized. Rude employees. Very few nice people. Multiple BAD experiences there. No empathy for patients. Wait, wait, wait....DO NOT GO THERE!n***Since changing over to New Bridge, they are trying hard to cut down wait times. If you need charity care, you have no choice to go there.***

I really wish that I can give it a zero stars review. The mental health system around the United States is bad, but this hospital is part of the problem. I don’t know where to start but, the incompetent and unprofessional staff showed very little compassion and respect for my mother, who I know in my heart is not easy to deal with, and to us as her relatives over the phone.nI have been in the medical field for 15 plus years and know that when the staff is not qualified for this kind of work or positions, it affects the morals and ethics of the rest of the company. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this, specially because we were able to have our mom to go somewhere else, but there is many other patients there that are not being treated with sympathy, respect and the care that they deserve.nI also know that this was not an isolated event because I know personally two other mental health patients who had similar experiences. Hopefully this gets better soon for the sake of mentally ill and people struggling with addictions.

I had a surgery at this hospital the night nurses were so kind and took care of me. But the morning nurses paid no attention. I couldn’t even walk and had to walk down by myself. Although the Doctor did such a good job. He was really nice too.

Absolutely awful place. I actually work throughout different hospitals in NJ (for my line of work). I had a family member admitted here for 3 days. From my experience the doctors weren’t helpful at all. They never had time to answer questions. Barely took time to better understand what our family member was dealing with. Walked in asked a couple of questions and rushed out, walked down the hallways asking every patient the same thing as they rushed out. The staff isn’t friendly nor do they care about helping anyone. When I arrived I was told to go to the emergency room and ring a bell in order to be allowed in. I rang the bell for over 30 mins until finally the security guard that walked by me 3 times helped me gain access. I’d never recommend it to anyone. Awful place.
