Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey

I fell on and hurt my knee and tried home care for a few days.  When there was no improvement I made an appointment with my orthopedist--but the wait was three days.  Unfortunately the pain and swelling continued to worsen until I could no longer walk without excruciating pain.  Rather than suffering through a visit to an Emergency Room, I was advised to go to an Urgent Care that specializes in breaks and sprains (Webster NOW.)  The staff was kind and efficient and the medical providers were excellent.

My husband was here from Oct 2019- Nov 2019. They were wonderful. The staff answered all of my questions and treated my husband with respect and compassion. They had a terrific “leaf system” which reminded the nurses to turn him every 2 hours.nMy only regret was that they did not have a subacute facility. My husband left this facility with not a mark on him. Within 3 weeks in a subacute, he developed sepsis.

Our father fell ill with Covid -19 and was hospitalized in one of the top 3 hospitals in NYC for about 2 months. The doctors and staff in charge of our father’s care basically let the family know that there wasn’t much more they could do for him and that we should expect that he would not survive.nOur family did not give up hope and with tremendous effort and persistence coordinated an almost impossible transfer to SPECIAL HOSPITAL OF CENTRAL JERSEYnwith the head & lead doctor, Dr. Lebowitz coupled with Dr. Santiago, who after numerous consultation agreed to undertake the challenge of treating our father. In less than 7 weeks following such transfer, our dear father was much improved & was able to come home in great spirits. The attention, dedication and medical care given was superior and surpassed anything we experienced in what is supposed to be a world renowned NYC hospital.nAnecdotally, and what particularly stands out was that we never saw any staff members during an entire 12 hour shift use their private phone. Words cannot describe the heartfelt gratitude we wish to convey to the doctors, nurses, social workers, support staff etc. we feel so lucky that our father is home and will very soon be fully recovered from Covid 19, we feel especially blessed that we had such a great, caring team at Special Hospital of Central Jersey.nThe Katz Family

The hardest thing I ever had to do was endure my wife sickness which sent her into a coma for almost two months. During that time she was admitted into Special Hospital of Central NJ and received the best Care by highly trained personnel who nursed her back to health and prepared her for outpatient therapy. They treated her and I with respect and helped me feel at ease and confident that everything would be alright. Today a year later Virginia Becks-Johnson is fully recovered living a normal life in central Florida thanks to the wonderful staff of this remarkable hospital. Thank you all, I will never forget you.

This is an excellent hospital. My sister was very ill and was transferred from Community. She recovered twice as fast at Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey. The doctors are wonderful; Dr. Smyrna and Dr. Markowitz took excellent care of her. They have genuinely caring doctors and nurses. When she arrived, she had a wound that was giving here excruciating pain, the wound care specialist (James) corrected the problem and there was immediate relief. The wound successfully healed. Everyone with whom we dealt, from the administration to the techs gave us professional care and consideration. I can't say enough good things about my sister's stay. The hospital is very clean and well cared for, nicely decorated and my sister enjoyed the food. Thank you Specialty Hospital!
