Fancy Feathers Exotic Birds

Very large selection of birds. Most of them are already reserved though so you have to ask what birds are available. The woman behind the counter was very helpful at suggesting what kind of bird would be right for my son. She showed us around, let my son hold a macaw, and wrote down the name of the type of bird she recommended so we can do our research on that type of bird before making our purchase. The birds there are all well taken care of and loved. I recommend this place to anyone seeking a bird for a pet. That being said, they aren't enforcing the mask mandate during a global pandemic. Now I need to find another place to shop for my bird.

I have been taking our African Grey to Fancy feathers since they opened years ago. Ursula and the staff are wonderful with Saba. He loves going there for boarding and grooming. Joyce is a terrific groomer. The entire staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and most importantly they care about your bird. Best of all you feel comfortable leaving your feathered family member in their care. I consider Ursula and the staff to be friends of my family.

I absolutely love this place. I wanted a cockatiel a couple months back and any specialty bird place I went to did not have it. I called this store and they had one left and they left it on hold for me, which is very sweet. Throughout the whole process, they were very helpful and very friendly. I can tell they take great care of their birds as they hand raise them and ween them, which is great! Úrsula was very sweet and allowed me to visit my bird multiple times and even recognized me as they walked it. They always gave me great service and advice so I can give this little guy a loving home. If you are looking for different and more exotic birds definitely go here, you will have a long term companion. In addition, they have a great selection of toys and food for your birds! I will definitely come back to Fancy Feathers Exotic Birds!

Ursula and the rest of the Fancy Feathers family was incredible every step of the way. They were extremely transparent and communicative with us about everything: the lifestyle their birds have, how babies are raised, the conditions of the shop, the food - nothing was left to wonder. This was important to us since we couldn't just jump in a car and drive 6 hours to meet our new baby before he was old enough to come home.nnWe received photos and short video clips regularly, and Ursula never hesitated to answer any of our questions. She even sent along some of his favorite food and toys with him. It felt more like we were bringing home a new member of the family instead of a simple financial transaction - exactly how it should be when committing to a parrot.nnWhen our new african grey was ready to come home, Fancy Feathers worked with us to meet halfway between states at another store so we wouldn't have to make the long, long drive. It was immediately apparent to my husband, who has grown up around parrots his entire life, that our parrot was very well taken care of, happy and healthy. Even the avian vet we visited shortly afterwards was impressed with how healthy and sweet-natured he was.nnNow that he's been home for a month, we're so pleased with how quickly he has settled in with no feather plucking. He loves to play, has no fear any time we introduce a new toy, and he's exceptionally snugly (unusually so, for an african grey). We are convinced so much of this is due to his wonderful upbringing! I only wish Fancy Feathers was closer for us to visit easily, because we would be regulars without a doubt.

Great bird store! Been going there for years. My Senegal loves Ursula almost as much as he loves me!
