My wife and I just recently had our baby here. I have to say everyone from top to bottom with the labor and delivery team and the nurses afterwards were extremely nice and professional. I want to single out two nurses in particular Laura and Amy. Laura, thank so much for getting us through the c section. You don’t know how much you helped us. Amy, thank you as well for the care you gave our baby girl and us. We will never forget it. They were both awesome. Great staff on your hands. Thank you for everything.
My boyfriend was sent to this hospital on Thanksgiving where he received horrible care. he was set up for surgery the next day and was in severe pain . He asked for pain medicine but did not receive any and plus, he asked to go to the bathroom and they took him to the bathroom to and from but the bed was not locked and he fell and hurt his back twice and the staff yelled at him for being very clumsy. I will never ever recommend anybody so that hospital again period my boyfriend is glad to be home safe and sound and is resting and very comfortably.
The ICU was very good. But the rest of the hospital is sheer hell! They lost my husband‘s dentures and no one is getting back to me to let me know how they’re going to reimburse me. I guess they don’t want to so they’re ignoring me. My husband would ring the bell and it would take up to 20 minutes for a nurse to come if they came at all.nnUPDATE: after four weeks of not hearing a word we finally got a call today. Now they’re telling us that we have to go to their dentist which is an hour away. Dentures are a for appointment process at a two hour round-trip for each appointment. I already started the process at our local dentist. Now they’re telling us that they are not going to pay for them because we are not going to their choice of dentist. Absolutely heartless response from a bunch of pencil pushers who are running a Catholic hospital!
We were sent here to have my mom’s bypass surgery and stent procedure done. Although the cardiologist surgery procedure, and ICU nurses were good (special thanks to Jen and Brittany), I’m highly disappointed with how they proceeded with the discharge. They kept saying they wanted her to go to the acute rehab and literally was good to go but then an hour before stated she doesn’t “qualify” even though my mom only got PT one day!!! That day there was soooo much miscommunication, it was awful! We had to quickly make arrangements to bring her home which is unacceptable. We called them that same day. They stated home-care nurses would be in 24-48 hours. Guess what? It’s day day 5 and no one has called to check in or no nurse has even come in. UNACCEPTABLE!!! We’ve been calling daily. This is not how people should be treated! I will be filling a full complaint with the hospital soon.
I honestly don’t know where to begin. The surgeon was pleasant and his staff but the hospital itself should he shut down. The staff and nurses were terribly rude god forbid if I needed help to move because I couldn’t move myself. Had I’d known this after care was this way I would have looked for another surgeon. I couldn’t move and was forced to risk falling several times as it took up to an hour to come to my room when asked why so long her response was “I have 6 patients” wow no compassion and horrible care. The attitudes were mind blowing when all I was doing was asking for help. They did not make you feel safe and at ease instead I went on Xanax in the hospital to cope with the anxiety from the lack of care. This was TRULY traumatizing. If you need a surgery I hope you read this before you make your decision on where to go... this hospital should be shut down
