DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go there! My wife needed a nerve block and spinal tap before delivery. It’s been a month with constant headaches, so they said let’s start with a nerve block. Set an appointment, they canceled it, then they set another one up for the same day and time, then called and said sorry but the medication is not here. How? A place like Virtua does not have the medication it needs to there clients? They do not care what so ever about there clients! I call and call and call..they get back to you a day or two later. Now mind you my wife needs a spinal tap done before delivering, and god forbid something happens because she did not receive the spinal tab, my lawyers will be called on the spot! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE! If I can give it zero stars I would!

I had my appt with dr mabanta early june. I have m.s. and new onset seizures. The initial encounter was pleasant with the doctor. Since the visit 4 weeks ago, I have messaged and called the office for direction with my seizure medication with no response. I was able to reach out to the office manager who seemed very helpful on the phone but now it has been 2 more days with no response from the doctor, office staff or office manager. This is not the place to seek care if you have a serious medical condition. BEWARE...

Last year I had 3 stress-induced seizures. It was a very troubling, exhausting time for me and I turned to Dr. Mazzarese in Dr. Mabanta’s office with Virtua Neuroscience for help. I saw Dr. Mazzarese several times, got every test she wanted me to even when everything was coming up inconclusive, and poured a lot of money into this practice. I lost my drivers license for a brief period after having a seizure while driving. Dr. Mazzarese made the decision to suspend my license, a decision I respect as she was well-within the guidelines for NJMVC Medical Review, but she signed and sent off the paperwork while I was in the office with her and didn’t tell me about her decision. I had to find out in the mail from the MVC a few weeks later. I was hurt but able to brush it off. When it came time to get my license back, I saw Dr. Mazzarese about 2 weeks before it could be reinstated. I trusted her to send over the paperwork to the MVC as she promised, called the office back to ensure it was sent, and was bold-face lied to by everyone who works there. Not only is having an unexplained medical condition stressful, but my finances were drained by this. Dr. Mazzarese told me the paperwork was sent, then I got pulled over back to back for driving with a suspended license. The MVC finally got my paperwork after I picked up a physical copy from the office and mailed it myself. I had to pay an additional $2000 for court because of Dr. Mazzarese’s error. I’m 22, fresh out of college, just started a real job and already can’t afford all the inconclusive tests and appointments Dr. Mazzarese forced on me. I called the office several times to have a word with her and ask what happened and she just never called me back. Left numerous messages on the machine and with the staff and she just left me hanging. Hard to believe a doctor I trusted and spent thousands and thousands of dollars on just turned her back on me like I was nothing when I tried to confront her about her mistake. I saw Dr. Mabanta who couldn’t care less about Dr. Mazzarese’s horrible blunder, just saying “I’ll talk to her.” Then he ordered me to get a new prescription for my anti-convulsant at a higher dose even though I haven’t had a seizure for almost a year. I saw Dr. Mazzarese that day in the office and she looked right through me as if we were strangers. We should be able to rely on and trust our doctors, especially when dealing with some really troubling medical maladies. Save your money and save yourself the stress and go to a doctor who actually cares about your wellbeing, not just getting money out of you. I have learned my lesson.
