Mercy Birthing Center - Joplin

I just had my daughter there in September 2016. I wish I would have been able to have had my son there in 2010. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. This is such a beautiful facility. Not only that, but almost all of the staff was so wonderful. They really go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. They go above and beyond to meet every need of yours that they possibly can. Dr. Billings is the best OB ever. He worked so well with me and my husband. He went above and beyond through my whole pregnancy and my labor and recovery. He is very patient and understanding of your needs, and makes sure to take very good care of you and your baby. He has a way of explaining to you that keeps you calm, or as calm as possible. I was a lot more calm during this cesarean section than my last one. His nurse Brandy, at Miami Mercy was also great and was very helpful. Amanda was the best nurse I had at the hospital during my stay there. She was very encouraging through me during my VBAC, and was very helpful through the cesarean. The only complaint I had was the overnight weekend staff. They were not very friendly and hardly checked on you at all, and they seemed burdened if you asked for anything. The other hospital staff, day and night were great, it was just the overnight weekend staff I had a complaint with. Overall though it was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend them!
