I was there for my birthday a few years ago. The food is great. A little pricey but good. Atmosphere was really nice. Friendly servers and a clean place.
The food was delicious and the service was friendly. The atmosphere was truly Western! There was an unfamiliar odor, perhaps the mix between cedar and equines that was a little offsetting, but not much can be done about that!
We've visited Lucky J a number of times and will continue to frequent this establishment. The people, food, service, atmosphere, grounds, parking, services offered and shopping is top notch. This is an amazing gem hidden Carthage, MO!!
Food was good and hot. We went a little late in the evening, so it wasn't packed like some others have experienced. Our waitress was nice, the food was fast, and the price wasn't bad.
A little on the pricier side but totally worth it. My son ordered the catfish dinner, my bf got the hamburger steak, and I got the smoked salmon. It was all fabulous!
