Hy-Vee Market Grille Express

Food was good, but overpriced. Changing the name from Market Grille to Wahlbergers added an extra 3 to 4 dollars to each entree and side. What we paid for burgers, we could have had steak dinners plus appetizers at another establishment.

Although the menu has changed and seating is limited the burger was still one of the best in town. Sad to see this establishment retreat. PS Jennifer was an excellent server.

Very cool. Wonderful selection of entrees, cocktails and beers. Not loud like many restaurants-- quite comfortable in all aspects. Cole, our waiter, was perfect-- attentive, pleasant, and anticipated what we would want, even though this was our first time there. And, best of all, the prices were lower than we expected! Definitely want to go back for half-price sushi some Wednesday night!

There is only one door area open to enter and to exit?????? There is no way to have the right distance from people???? Top it off there is some poor guy with no mask standing in the area between doors??? There are some simple actions to make and do to help the risk go down.( common sense things) like not Funnel people into a small area. I will be reporting this to the compliance sight. Maybe have one door to come in and another to leave through so there is no cross traffic? Just a thought.

I frequently visit this location for its charm, lackluster and simplistic manor. As of late my visits to this establishment have been disheartening. The menu is complicating to order from, but the staff say yes to everything! Very nice way to inspire your order but timely for off menu items like broccoli. Management seems to be lacking from seeing disarray with serving staff jumbling orders from table to table. I visited again about a week ago with friends and had a not so simple time. We had a encounter with the evening manager. Whether she meant to or not, she came across as belittling me like a child or trying to raise my blood pressure when I had addressed a concern with my order. My “mack and cheese burger” was not exactly as I liked it, after I cut into it I saw it was a little to pink, at my own fault for ordering the wrong cooking length, I asked for it to be cooked a little longer. The manager insisted it be remade completely. It took a extra twenty minutes for my burger to come back. By this time my party was ready to leave. I ordered it to go. This took a extra ten minutes to get back from the kitchen. After feeling embarrassed and hungry we got our items and left. This manager made me and my party feel unwelcome and pressured by her responses. Her large smile and loud laughter about the matter showed how little she cared adding to our unsatisfactory engagement. My friends and I will be visiting in the evenings now, being there doesn’t seem to be managers there later in the day.
