If you are disabled can’t talk or walk and put in this hospital you will have no rights for visitor not even one disability support person that knows them so well and can relate with the staff and doctors how he is doing because I raised him for 33 yrs they now put his life in more danger because communication with family is never done in this hospital his health is more at risk because his caretaker is no where to be found they don’t seem to understand he’s always been on a certain diet and drink because most have red dye 40 the only way to drink for him is a certain sippy cup they let him and others like him stay dirty and smelly oh no germsnnDon’t send your loved ones here they are all on some kind of power trip

The staff at this facility exceeded my expectations. immediately gave me a great vibe. I was taken to a room and had my vitals checked by Zach who was very friendly and full of energy

Worst service from Karen a PA on the 6th floor west. She so rude and treats people badly. I even asked for someone else but she non stopped wanted to keep going on making me upset. I left this place because of her not being professional and wanting me to repeat why I was there again to her. She even told me that I would be more comfortable at home. I had no care that should have been given to me after being on floor for 13 hrs and nurses had no idea what I was to receive lack of people keying in charts correctly. You are better off to die at home then go here and be treated like garage.

I wrote detailed review on my experience at UM Heath care. It disappeared just before I sent it. Experience in ER included concerns about patient confidentiality and a breeze through by a cardiovascular surgeon who needed help with mastery if tbe English language. I have no problem she was not a born American, it's that she could not completely understand me, having to ask her PA for translation. I never got to ask questions. It was a see me in 3 months and gone visit. Subsequently I was transfered to 6W and then 4W. During the first transfer my IV, bp cuff and stickey heart monitor patches were removed and then in 6W they put them back again, including another long needlebin my are for the IV. Between trying to take me for a test/procedure, and I was the WRONG PATIENT, trying to perform a stress test which the excellent man involved heard me say aneurysm, checked with the physician in the Radiology area who say absolutely not and the multiple different teams I saw telling me different things I was scared to death. No wonder my bp was about 210/107 on one morning. Never did see a cardiologist or neurologist, the services I was sent to the ER for. I begged to be released form the hospital, as I began believing the more and different docs I saw were driving my bp up. I thought my aneurysm was going to rupture and I would die. The multiple nurses I saw on 4W were awesome and caring. I can't say as much about the docs on that service that day. I went for a walk down the hall and sat outside at the Ellis garden. When I got back to my room, my nurse (Trey is fantastic) took my bp, it was 134/85 or close to that. The Fam Med docs discharged me and I got to see my husband who drove me home. I guess I didn't miss much with a cheese stick and smashed crackers after 10 hours in the ER, and no food the next day except stale crackers and peanut butter I could not eat without a utensil. I was told by the staff that this was the MU Hospital diet. I really couldn't believe all this was happening. It was like a nightmare. After serving as a Professor at MU since 1990, working in research and the Ob/Gyn Fertility Clinic, I never saw any of this before. I could not believe I was in the same hospital that I had worked in for years. I truly feel bad for other non-employees who get this service. I know many physicians and nurses at MU. They provide excellent caring service, so this review is only about my experience on Aug 20 - 23. So say, but I believe I'll be going to Boone or St. Louis for hospital needs in the future. I believe in MU, but this was over the edge.
