You know how when you go to the movie theater and it feels like you've entered a different world and then you come out and you realize your back in reality? Pretty much the experience we had at this place. It is definitely not something you expect going in. It's got a downtown feel but in Hoxie. Really nice atmosphere and the food and drinks were really good. Dang sure I'll be visiting again! It's about 150 miles to travel to but it was certainly worth that. Amazing place.

This is the finest Dining within 100's of miles. I was told that this was like dining in New York from someone who used to live in New York!nIt is Not fast food. It is a Diner. The prices compare to a nice bar/grill I know of in Hays. It does not have New York prices. You would be smart to call in early if you are planning to eat there in the evening to reserve your table. They have Wonderful food! Come try it yourselves.

This is a very cool place, like you find in a big city. The menu items are unique and tasteful. They have special desserts and drinks. Gluten free options are available! There is an outdoor patio as well as two levels of small booths and tables inside. Great music. Great service. Hoxie is fortunate to have such a gem!!

Just experienced the best restaurant for over 200 miles! We drove 68 miles for this delicious assortment of entrees and appetizers and it was so worth it! We had the seared Ahi tuna..who knew you could get fresh seafood in rural Kansas? Gotta go off the Interstate and visit this place!

Simply one of the most interesting, delicious & fabulous dining experiences that I’ve ever had. It’s off the beaten path, about 18 miles north of the I-70 exit, but totally worth the extra effort. The Elephant is a gem!n#bucketlist
