Great but upsetting because I wanted a dog but couldn't afford to get her.
Though Petland is situated in a mall that is struggling through its dying days, it is still worth a trip with the kids. They allow and encourage patrons to play with, exercise, and pet the animals, though they want to make a sale of course. The small pets are easily accessible. They also have a good stock of animal care products. Petland is more expensive for their products than their big box competitors, but they have friendly service, and a more hometown feel, so the extra cost is often worth it.nnIn 2020, their store footprint is relatively small, so social distancing is difficult. Any other time, it's the perfect size for this store.
It's nice, but quite small. It would benefit by being in a bigger location. It has a decent selection of pups for adoption. A few birds and rodents. No fish pets that I could see there. The staff is really attentive and friendly.
We just bought our 2nd ferret here. We also bought our first ferret here about a year ago. We decided he needed a buddy, so we immediately headed back to this quality location. Even though it's an hour away, the staff here are all so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, we won't do business at any other pet store when shopping for a pet. I love how the pets are all interactive with people rather than being in total lock down as at other stores. Especially with ferrets, they need human interaction, so they learn not to bite. This store let's you really see the type of personality your pet has long before you get it home. I love this store!!!
Big variety of animals from fish to chameleons to bull mastiff puppies...we actually played with a French bulldog who was adorable...need to further research before deciding to adopt one though...
