First time donor experience. I was told exactly how everything would happen several times which was nice. It took a little over 3 hours, which was expected. There were a few hiccups to the process but the person helping me (Julie) did a great job by staying upbeat and positive throughout all of the issues. The girl who started the plasma drawing was really nice too and explained it all to me. I felt comfortable and prepared. It didn’t hurt and I will be going back. Just used the hub to schedule another appointment!

After 2 good experiences last year I wanted to donate again. After 6 months they considered me a new donor. It takes forever to go through the screening process so I wasted few hours there. The cannulator was a stabber, she infiltrated me, the blood cloted and they couldn't get the plasma, so they didn't test the blood. Next time I went in, it took 1h for someone to realise that they need to start all over with the physical, like I was a new donor... for the 3rd time. Why is it my fault that teammates that worked there for years don't know how to cannulate? Terrible experience, won't go there again. The system was down, it took forever to process, others were waiting. The employees are nice on the most part, Jeremy was really helpful and knowledgeable. But really dissapointed with the cannulators, I was left with a bruise every time. Biomat is just another birocratic company that sells plasma for big profit. Please read about the disadvantages of donating plasma, before going there. High blood pressure is a serious condition that can kill at 40-50 years of age, and it's a serious consequence of donating plasma or blood.

First off I'd like to say that I am not the donor it is my bf, 3 out of the 5 times he went in to donate they didn't get him seated until an hour after his scheduled time. The first time it happened he said something and they couldn't even find him in their system. The second time they were an hr late with him they told him that's just how it is now due to covid, I don't understand why they are booking so many appt if they know this is going to happen tho? One time he ended up being 5 min late, he admitted it was fault and they almost canceled his appt. They ended up letting it slide bc of how late they were the week before. He likes donating and the idea of helping, but this is ridiculous.
