The Monarch

Went to Monarch earlier. We had been there before and loved their food. We walked in and a waitress was walking past us and no one greeted us. I asked if we seat ourselves. My husband and I split the club and mushroom caps. I was not impressed! The mushrooms did not have much flavor, and the club was very dry. It had a lot of turkey and bacon but a tiny piece of tomatoes. The waitress took our order, brought our food and never came back. We had to go ask for a box. When she came to bring the check she said you guys put that away. I found that to be rude. No you just haven't been over in a while and most of it went into the box we had to get ourselves. They need friendlier staff. I won't be back.

Great space! Delish! And socially safe too. The staff took great care of us and had amazing recommendations and we're very knowledgeable about what they had to offer. And their drink had an M. Very neat!

As much as I wanted to love this place, I have had constant poor experiences here. I have been a server for five years, and came in with other server friends. We sat outside until one of us went inside to grab a server, and they were all talking in a corner. One of our drinks had debris floating around in the drink and we did not get a replacement until our meals were brought out. Our appetizer was also brought out with our meal, and at that point, what is the point of an appetizer? Our waters remained empty, and another server was the only one who checked on us. We were not checked on by our server, and waited 25-30 minutes after we were done eating for our tabs. Our food was mediocre at best, and we each paid $9 for a drink that had MAYBE five sips worth of alcohol. Our margaritas tasted like sour, and no tequila whatsoever. We are currently sitting STILL waiting on her to bring change for our table. There was not a single part of our meal that we were pleased with, and we will all not be back. We stacked our plates and they sat on our table for 20 minutes and had flies that were flying everywhere because of it. In conclusion, we will not be back or be recommending this to absolutely anyone.

As always, Monarch is a great place to sit outside and have lunch!

I was so excited to try this place as we just got stationed at McConnell and moved right downtown! This place looks fun and looks like a wonderful place for lunch/dinner. We went there tonight for dinner with our 1 year old and they don’t have any high chairs or boosters for children..
