Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Food and service has consistently gone down hill.

Not as good as it used to be but the food was still good

Called ahead 30 minutes before our 5:30pm requested time. Arrived there at 5:25pm and waited as a walk up couple checked in and were told it would be a 15 minute wait. We then checked in and told them we called ahead. They asked us the name we used and found us on their list. Then they told us that it would be a 20 minute wait. I looked at them and asked what the purpose of the call ahead policy was if you just have to wait behind those that just walk up. They shrugged their shoulders and apologized and told us that we would receive a text message when ready. We went for a short walk around the stores and after 20 minutes walked back only to have been forgotten by them. They finally let us in and as we walked through the restaurant to our table we noticed that half the restaurant was closed. I thought to myself that must mean they are loading from the back of the restaurant up. Why then would there be a half empty restaurant and still a waiting list? They were already social distancing the open half of the restaurant. The menu has been over simplified now and nothing spectacular is found on it. It is very basic. Our waitress was very nice though. Not really sure if we’ll ever go back at least to this location.
