Deano's Grill & Tapworks

The service was quite good. The menu offer diversity and anyone can find something they will like. I ordered the bang bang shrimp tacos. You can order two or three tacos as the entree. They were well seasoned, with four or five plump shrimp in each taco. It come with a side of shoe string potatoes, I substituted an order of grilled veggies as my side without additional charge. There was a good mix of seasonal veggies. This is a sports bar with a large number of TV's and they were tuned to a wide variety of sports. This restaurant is on the east side of Wichita and I live almost to the western edge of the city but I would return.

Needed to remind myself why we never seem to come here. Seemed well under staffed. Only saw 1 bartender and 1 server. Never did I see a manager or anyone else that might work there and care how everyone was doing. I was told drinks specials were all day happy hour and that domestics were $2. Found out that wasn't true when we got our bill and domestics were actually $3 (waitress gave me some covid excuse, smh). Also, ordered a burger and when asked how I wanted it done, I said pink in the center. Well it came out rare throughout, pretty gross. Waitress said she can send it back, I refused thinking it's probably not a good time to be sending food back to the kitchen. This is really just a place to grab a beer with a friend and maybe an appetizer.nnI'll give 5 stars to the Boom Boom Shrimp, those were awesome. Also give 5 stars to my wife's Chicken Club Sandwich, she said it was really good. French Fries were pretty good too.nnClean place, good atmosphere!

Brynne was an amazing server! She was upbeat and always checking up on us. I highly recommend Deano’s for the happy hour prices and they’re food is to die for! Ask for Brynne when you go in she works weekends!

Today 10/9/20 we were served beverages by a waitress not wearing a mask! Wichita still has mask orders in place until 10/21/20 (currently.). We did NOT drink them!! We paid for them and left but not before speaking with a manager. I informed her that not only was our waitress not wearing a mask there were several staff members pulling them down to talk at the bar, and of all place BACK IN THE KITCHEN!! In fact there was a gentleman who looked like a cook (black chef coat on) that wasn’t wearing a mask at all!! The manager said she completed understood because she has a “high risk child.” She offered us a 25% off coupon for next visit, we did not accept it. Thanks no thanks.
