Billing is a nightmare. My son was admitted due to an accident, which our insurance covers at 100%. I told them that night it needed to be filed with an accident code. Well it wasn't. Called in July, and you can't speak to anyone at the actual hospital about your bill, you have to call someone in Minnesota, yet any payments are sent to Arizona. Three hands in the pot and none are communicating with each other. So I called the place in Minnesota and told them it needed to be refiled as an accident. That was a month ago and the claim still hasn't been refiled. My insurance has called and requested they refile and they still haven't. In the meantime, I'm still getting the threatening letters because I won't pay my bill since my insurance will cover it at 100%. Do your job Wamego! It's not hard to refile a claim. I know, that's what I did for over 5 years in my previous job.

If you don't have to go here, DON'T!nnLong story short, I went to the ER for what i thought was food poisoning and they misdiagnosed me with a very serious condition that would have changed my life. I went to another hospital a couple days later to find out that I am perfectly healthy. This isn't my first bad experience either.nnOn the plus side, the staff is very nice.

They went above and beyond for my son and I. We walked in late they were about to close and they took one look at my son and wanted to help. They stayed late to help him. I couldn't find his insurance card and they let me call later to give it to them and took care of him. Thank you so much for taking care of us! Great doctors office that really cares!

Jenny White-Slough needs to find a new profession that she can be passionate about. Other staff members and patients I’ve talked to have had the same opinion and agree that she is not a nice person.nnThe rest of the hospital has been wonderful! They should get 5 stars. I give it 2 stars only because they continue to employ that DR.

A couple years ago I came in to the clinic side to get a really bad infection on my scalp checked out. I understand that walk-in appointments can take quite a while to get to since the doctors have to go back and forth between the clinic side and the...I don’t know, registered patient side? so I was ready to wait. My mother, who was my ride there, was a lot less patient and understanding. We waited in the lobby for around 3 hours before I could get seen. When I finally got in, I explained that I don’t have insurance since I work from home, don’t make much and can’t afford it. I have depression and the reason my scalp was infected was because I couldn’t push myself to take any sort of care of myself for months. I sort of half-explained this part, and I suppose it was the only thing that stood out to the person seeing me. This person strongly suggested I “see and talk to someone more versed in this area” and go see someone else in the building. I agreed that it sounded alright, but what I didn’t know is that I was being swindled into getting checked into the ER. My mom, still waiting in the lobby, was even more upset that I was being transferred to a different area but I assured her it would be fine because I’d just be talking to someone. That was not the case. I realized the situation I had gotten into when they had me fill out more papers and needed to put a wrist band on me. I explained again that I don’t have insurance and that I wanted to leave soon, but they said they had to put the hand on me to talk to me. Well, okay. I spoke briefly to someone about my depression and kept wanting to come back to my weeping, crusted, infected scalp, but it seemed like that was the least of everyone’s worry. I told them I wanted to leave because we had been in the lobby for three hours and my ride was really angry about the wait times here. So I checked out. I never did get antibiotics, but I did get a sweet check for $800 that I had to basically starve myself to pay off. I’m usually really willing to forgive and give extra chances to places, but I don’t think I could trust this place with my medical concerns again after all that. It sucks that this is really the only place in Wamego.
