This place was fantastic, especially for a last minute brunch option during peak hours on a Saturday. We had 4 people and only waited around 10 minutes for a table. Our server, Izzy, was new and so very patient with us! She was also super friendly and made our experience that much better! Also, try the mushroom gravy!! The taste is amazing and I don't even like mushrooms. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, respected social distancing, what more could you ask for!
Wow. So good, we went trice! Let’s be honest, good restaurants have good food. But at great restaurants, great food is a given. The true difference is the experience. Great space; open and inviting, great interior with engaging decor that isn’t overwhelming. Well trained and attentive staff who engaged with us and made us feel like regulars. Fantastic old school R&B on the sound system.nAnd well...the food. Out of this world.
Yo. This was really good. I wasn't sure what to expect with a biscuit sandwich place, but I'm not disappointed. I got the Ellsworth (BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN, LOCAL COLORADOnHONEY, STONE-GROUND MUSTARDn+ HOUSEMADE Pickles) and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy with a wonderful crunch. The honey and mustard created a tangy flavor of slightly conflicting sweet and bitter. I really enjoyed the texture of this sandwich. I could only take a few bites before switching to a fork, because the Denver Biscuit is so soft and flaky... And delicious.
I wasn't that impressed with Atomic Cowboy. They serve liquor beginning at 7 a.m., and until close. We were there at 11 a.m. on a Friday, and I ordered their Barrel-aged Atomic Manhattan, which boasts a Luxardo cherry. They served it without, and said they were out of cherries. It seems like a minor detail, but in this drink the garnish is a key component and also, it's first thing headed into the weekend so I don't know how the bar manager wasn't at the grocery store to stock the bar for the weekend right after they realized they were out. The Breakfast Sangria was also kind of a weird cocktail. I was disappointed with my sandwich, it was an underwhelming presentation. The flavor was pretty good, it was indeed one of the best biscuits I've ever had. The pot pie was pretty large. I'd go back to hang out for drinks, but I won't be back for food. I will say their hosts were very friendly and energetic, as was our server. In the way of customer service, five stars. My friend was disappointed that pizza-by-the-slice didn't come with white sauce, red only. I didn't like that they serve the water at room temperature with no ice. I liked that they had a patio and an open-air option as well; in addition to the indoor area. They have a pool table if you're in to playing billiards. Their entrance and restrooms are accessible. Staff was wearing masks due to the pandemic. Parking is street parking (and always a challenge in Westport).
First time visiting was at two locations in CO, and was excited to see it come to KC! At first coming in the staff was really weird about us sitting down with one person in our party missing.. no one but one other couple was there and they made us wait outside. So in terms of service for that and the “meh” waitress, they lost a star. As for the HUGE pizza it was great and the environment is awesome.nnIf you go after.. I think 8pm they ONLY serve pizza and no other food or appetizers so something to know!
