AdventHealth Shawnee Mission

10/10 would recommend. Out of all the hospitals I've visited, this is the best one to have an emergency...on a more serious note. They've treated multiple family members and myself and always have received excellent care. Very affordable and timely, attentive to needs and caring, kind staff. Worth the drive if you live anywhere in the KC vicinity.

this is one of the best hospitals I've ever been to. every staffmember I came into contact with was amazing, very friendly and very knowledgeable. They saved my life for real and made me comfortable as possible during my visit and saved at least part of my vision. That I only lost thanks to Ray County Memorial hospital In Richmond, mo. They also almost killed me at Ray County Hospital but thanks to both Liberty Hospital and Shawnee Mission hospital I'm still here. And to anyone dealing with opiate addiction, They offer medical detox, I just found out! another amazing quality of care offered!!

My father, Leo, is 91-years old,, and a frequent visitor to the Wound Care staff at Advent Health in Shawnee Mission. I live in Atlanta, so I do not get to visit much. On 9/2/20, we took my father to see Dr. Newman for wound care treatment. I was so impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of everyone we met: Paula, Regina, Amy, Student nurse (from Cimarron, KS) and, last, but not least, Dr. Newman. They really take their time and treat him carefully and with respect. Thank you to everyone for the wonderful care you're providing my father! You're a great group and I wish you much happiness & success!

So family members can’t social distance in a waiting room while their 83 year old mother has surgery but 9 interns can hang around a coffee shop in the lobby and not be kicked out? Somebody needs to take a closer look at their own practices before enforcing on others! I have the picture to prove it if you want to see it!

As a person who chose to go here I’m disappointed in my self. From the minute I walked in to the minute I left it was a terrible experience. The ER team took 11 hours to get me into surgery for a ruptured appendix. The nurses on my floor were clueless of my medical plan and I never was able to speak with my doctor. I had less than quality nurses and less than quality care. I advise anyone and everyone to seek a different hospital for any reason. I will never go to Shawnee Mission or advent again.
