Shawnee Mission Health - Prairie Star : Emergency Room

The staff is wonderful! Everyone is friendly and polite! I've been here once in the daytime and once in the middle of the night and both visits left very good impressions! They get you in quickly and listen to you with compassion! Highly recommend!

This is an amazing facility at K7 & Prairie Star! I was seen immediately for intense pain. My pain was attended to, blood tests & cat scan performed, and was transported to the main hospital for what ended up being a 6 day admission to address a life-threatening medical emergency. We are so fortunate to have great heath care accessible 24 hours.

They got me in and out! Had iv antibiotics, ct scan and treatment in an hour!! Not to mention Kate whom held my hand the entire time!! You rock lady!!

Went to the ER after having pains after getting surgery earlier this week. Got treated like I was just there for attention. Came in with a smoothie, because it’s one of the only ways I can control my blood sugar, since I’ve been intolerant to food since my gastric bypass last year. They made a huge deal over the smoothie and even stood outside the door to my room whispering about it more than once. My gastric surgeons are aware that I have these issues. The ER didn’t know enough about my history to treat me like this, they made me feel like I’m the scum of the earth. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Almost a year of dealing with this pain and stuff, still not treated like a person. What a joke.

The worst emergency room ever I would not recommended it for any body and it’s the first and the last time i came here
