Was looking for a comfortable shoe for walking mostly paved trails. The staff person was very knowledgeable and helpful. Took the time to make sure I got the best fit for my feet. Don’t think I’ve ever had someone provide such great service for the purchase of athletic shoes.

I started buying my running shoes from them several years ago and I was impressed with their selection and knowledge as for as fitting. However, a recent experience has soured my opinion of them. A pair of running shoes I purchased from them had deterioration in the outer sole of just one shoe after about three months of wearing them only for running twice a week. In one area the deterioration was so great a hole had developed but other areas of the sole also show the material was granulating and coming off.The other shoe's sole still look brand new. I went to the store to inquire if they were aware of a manufacturing problem with this model of shoe. And, if not, to see if they would back me up that it appears to be a flaw in the material if I contacted the manufacturer. However, when I brought the shoes in the man who works there took one glance at the shoe and said I had burned it. The pavement gets hot in the summer but not hot enough to melt a major brand of shoes. When I told him I was certain I never wore them near anything hot, he raised his voice saying it was my fault, I had caused the problem. His accusing response was embarrassing and I left (never to return). I was stunned by his rudeness. By the way, I did contact the manufacturer and there was a manufacturing flaw in the sole of some shoes. They overnight shipped me a new pair with an apology.

Great staff, great service, great fitting, great shoes

I’ve never had such a wonderful experience buying a pair of shoes before! Don, the owner, went above and beyond to help me find the right pair of shoes to fit my problematic feet. It takes about 40 minutes by the time you try on several pairs and compare them, and then try on inserts, and describe the kind of things you do with your feet, but it is well worth the time. I can’t wait to go back for my next pair!
