Bank of Blue Valley

One of the worst banking experiences I’ve ever had to endure. Brandon Brown is literally the worst banker I’ve ever had the displeasure to do business with. He would not return calls, he would not return emails, he just isn’t interested in you. If you own a business, STAY AWAY!! The worst bank in the KC metro area. I repeat: BRANDON BROWN IS THE WORST BANKER IN THE KC METRO AREA!!

This bank is just not the same as it used to be prior to acquisition. I tried to call the local branch and waited on the line for 12 min. before anyone could pick up.

I requested a personal document from customer service. Melissa in customer service handled my call in Iowa and Ryan locally sent me my document within the hour. Every time I interact with BOBV it is always positive. I feel very rest assured knowing my financial security is in their hands. They are professional and very courteous. I 100% recommend this bank.

UPDATE:nAfter posting the negative review below and several phone calls I was contacted by a manager at BBV. Lori was sympathetic to my complaint and sought to remedy the issue as quickly as possible. Ultimately, she was able to modify the terms of the HELOC making the product both useful and economic. I appreciated her attentiveness and desiring to meet my individual banking needs. Thank you Lori!nnBuyer be aware! I would strongly recommend NOT working with BBV’s mortgage manager Samantha at the Lee’s Summit branch in MO. Samantha is either negligent at her job or willingly mislead me on the terms of her HELOC product. She failed to communicate the most important aspect of her product throughout the entire loan process! The HELOC she sold me was not an interest only payment, as nearly all HELOC’s, both in writing and in person. Her product will cost me nearly $4,000 a month on $200,000 loan amount! It’s the worst possible way for me to borrow money on my free and clear home and there’s no doubt she should have both realized this was not a good product for me and disclosed the 1.5% principle payment. I could have gotten a mortgage for a fraction of the cost! And to top it all off she was late for closing, forgot to ask for closing cost and then double charged my account.

The gentlemen teller was very helpful on my last visit. Appreciate the excellent service!
