This review is for the ER... after X-rays, CT scan, EKG, and a series of other lab tests - all revenue generating diagnostics for the hospital - the doctor misdiagnosed my elderly mother - basically came up with the same 'diagnosis' that I googled a day earlier. Gave her a prescription for medication that was for nausea… which she wasn’t even experiencing anymore. She had excruciating pain in her abdomen. They didn’t bother explaining anything to my father either, just gave him paperwork and sent them on their way. Two days later - she was still in pain… went to her regular doctor, who then sent her back to the ER, for immediate care. Unfortunately there wasn’t anything immediate about it. They were literally there for an entire day. She was diagnosed this time with a gallstone.. much different than the haphazard conclusion the first time. Considering there’s a pandemic occurring right now, this makes it more disconcerting - having to go to a hospital/ER not once, but twice under current conditions (and spend so much time waiting) is a risk in and of itself… who needs to be exposed if they can avoid it…. and if this is how they handle and diagnose “normal” health emergencies, how does this place manage a pandemic and patients with more serious conditions?! Also - they require people to take off N95 masks (if they walk in with one), and put on a new surgical mask (they supply)… in case of contamination?! First of all, N95 masks protect the person wearing it more than the flimsy surgical masks… and what logic is that - why don’t they ask people to change their clothing while they’re at it… or anything else that could be contaminated (on the exterior)? Please don't reply with your generic response asking for more information. Just get your act together so people can go to a hospital for reliable medical care.

I was very happy with the care and concern shown toward me. The only complaint I would have is the speed (or lack of) they addressed issues. But the place is clean, staff is conscientious. I’ve been in this facility 3 times over last 3 years......

The nurses are very happy to help me out during my brief stay. They’re always trying to make me feel comfortable and are very sensitive to my needs. They all tried to be on hand to make my stay as comfortable as possible! Thank you all, may God bless you always .

St Rose from an out patient surgery stand point - surgery in the room the care is very good. From the nurses and the those putting you under they are good. Very calm and they check on you after the fact to make sure you are good. The nurse who took me from operation room to recovery knew I was in pain and did try to help me. Since I had the surgery before , I completely disagreed with the nurse who checked me in and the doctor that Tylenol and prescription aspirin would be enough to handle the pain of being cut open in 3 places and not being able to use my core muscles. Found out an hour later the surgery was double the length due to the past surgery - of course I had more pain. As the patient I am the one asking for help. While getting some help which appeared to be a chore. I ran into an older nurse who would not provide a straw, would not check in, gave me my items and put it on a chair not within reach of me. Ice pack - weak. Basically placed it on my chest - I guess I had to do this myself. As soon as she could get off shift - new nurse / he gets me a water and without asking with a straw? This after older union nurse makes an issue about why I could not have one? He helped me with my pain, she would not. This level of inconsistent care and a concept of everyone must get exactly the same because we want to cover our rear end - why do I get a root canal and I get medicine for pain- yet in a hospital cut open I am being told Tylenol? I can get 2 days of medication for a vasectomy for pain , can not get it for being cut open in 3 places. The care has always been very thorough at St Rose and yes it can get crazy to wait in the ER to be seen. In this case it just seems like the interest of the patient comes second to the interest of the hospital. Is that what you want if you have a choice?

Architecturally pleasing exterior, well manicured grounds with old world European interior. Professional staff, almost edible food, felt confident that all my needs were being met. However, after signing discharge papers, I was left alone to pack up my belongings, which is very difficult to do from a wheelchair. A good experience ending in a feeling of being swept away to sanitize the room for the next patient. “Ding, time’s up!”
