The night of the Derecho storm I tried to book a motel at Motel 8 up the street who totally scammed people during the storm. I went to Quality Inn and was told the price was $57 for a night, I booked 4 nights for my son since he was without power. The young man at the counter was so sweet and I thanked him for not taking advantage of people during a disaster and he said well of course, I know how it is. My son ended up checking out after 2 days and Quality Inn actually refunded 2 days back to me within 24 hours. I again called and thanked them and would recommend this motel. Room was nice, beds comfortable and they were even honest about the wifi being out during the storm and they apologized. Great place and would recommend to everyone.
This is an older property but well maintained, clean, and comfortable, modern amenities. The staff is the reason for the five stars. Tami, the evening desk clerk, was a joy. She was so helpful and friendly. Samntha, the mornin desk clerk, extremely pleasant and helpful. Even after I had checked out and went back asking for some cleaning clothes, due to a problem.with some equipment, she was so nice. Anytime I am in the area I will be back.
We had a horrible storm go through Cambridge, Iowa last Monday. I was without power for 5 days. Went to stay at Quality Inn and Suites in Ankeny on Friday night. The staff were so kind, room very clean, and pool so lovely to destress in evening and morning. The manager was so very kind. I was able to return home able to handle the stress the storm caused. Thank you.
The inn was clean & well run. But the location is not ideal. Rather inconvenient & took a while to locate.
Room clean. I requested 2 things. Good wifi and close to guest laundry. Neither one of these requests were met. When I called the desk she offered to move us to the 2nd floor for better wifi but couldn't guarantee it would be better.
