Upscale looks and pleasant service made our experience here great. Our waitress was very friendly and personable. Top marks for allowing me to substitute part of my order due to an allergy. Since it was an abnormal substitution I appreciated it. I also like the water is crisp and well filtered. We will be back.

A small cozy restaurant with great service and great food. When we walked in we were greeted with a hello and a smile. We were seated immediately in a comfy booth. There are TVs all around so u can watch different sports. If you are by yourself they have a nice bar to sit at. The food was served quickly and was delicious. Cooked to perfection! My stomach still hurts because I'm so full and I still am wanting to dive into my leftovers. We will definitely be back.

Here is the thing, the Pizza: CONSISTENTLY EXCEPTIONAL! A lot of place have a great pizza every now and then and good pizza all the time. Uptown nails it, Every. Single. Time.nnBeyond that, the staff is friendly and takes good care of their patrons! You feel like you belong there.nnDon’t miss it!

I was in a few days ago with my family, and I was very glad to see a staff with NO MASKS! (And to the person who rated 1 star, if you think a mask will help you from a virus, then you are an idiot. Science proves you wrong over and over!) I'll be coming back weekly with my family, and be bringing buddies for drinks occasionally, too! And btw, their food is excellent, we all loved it. Keep walking in Freedom, Uptown, and you have a customer (with many friends) for life! (No, I don't work here, I am just an Ankeny community customer who loves great food, drinks and service!)

Uptown has always been our favorite go to place in Ankeny. Great food and service however in these times of high covid numbers they so no respect for their customers by not wearing any masks. We went late afternoon to eat and asked for a back table which we got but. None of the staff wore masks. I think that would just be a common thing they would want to do to keep their customers.nSorry you lost us as a customer. We have done carry out many times from you also. Done with that too. So sad a business can’t trynAnd please it’s customers. Guess theynMust have so much business they don’t need any more. Good luck with that uptown!
