Our group had reservations and were promptly seated. The service was very good and the food at expectation. An enjoyable evening except we were staring at a very large TV. We asked 3 times for it to be turned off. The manager said other patrons were watching it. I can guarantee you no one was watching it.

It was a good place to eat. The sushi was very good and display well on the plate. The meal we got was good, but not the best Japanese steak house meal I have had. The staff was very polite and prices were decent. I would recommend this place to people.

The service here was amazing. They tend to your need, drinks and empty your dirty plates. Being our first time here and wanting to try a new restaurant. Me and my fiance have to say the miso soup was good, however their sushi was not. It was bland, the rice was dry, some rolls we're so over powering with spice and heat that you couldn't taste other flavors. The restaurant itself is lovely but very busy. Sadly I don't think I will be returning to this one. If anything sushi house on Edgewood is still our favorite.

Since the pandemic started, Oyama's food and service quality has decreased significantly. We gave them a lot of chances because this used to be my family's favorite sushi restaurant, but they have messed up our order too many times and the food we received consistently tasted cheap and bland, definitely of a lower quality than before. I hope they pay attention to the reviews and work on their food quality and customer service. I will update my review if they improve.

Very upset about how they handled a messed up order. We placed an order for delivery of a dinner chicken hibachi ($17.95) and 5 sushi rolls. Once we got our order I realized we didn’t get any fried rice with the hibachi order. Normally I wouldn’t really care about something so minimal but if I’m like most people, hibachi isn’t really the same without the rice. I called the restaurant wondering what could be done. I’m not sure what I expected, but I at least expected them to care. They questioned me at first and asked me to double check. They didn’t believe me. Then they offered for me to drive there and pick up the fried rice, I explained that we ordered delivery for a reason. They then offered to refund me $2.50 on our $87 order. I told them don’t bother. Then they offered a discount of 5% off of the next order we place. I also said don’t bother because we will not be back. This is a place we frequent on special occasions. This was a planned meal for our anniversary. I am very disappointed the lack of service from this restaurant. Again, rice alone isn’t that big of a deal but I expected to be treated better when the meal I ordered wasn’t delivered. Also, the sushi was cold (we ordered cook and fried sushi).
