Fish Barn

Today was my first time coming in and I loved the selection of fish that they had. It was honestly hard to decide what to spend my money on but got an upside down catfish and an Odessa barb that are already making themselves at home in their new tanks. The owners were some of the nicest people I've met in the business. I'll definitely be back once I've upgraded to a 125 gallon tank. No doubts about that.

I have been to most of the freshwater aquarium shops around the Iowa-Illinois area and this is the best. I have never seen a sick fish at Fish Barn. They have prices that are lower than even Petco with the quality of a dedicated fish store. I cannot emphasize enough how good the prices are. I have bought great looking healthy long-finned cherry barbs here for 1.50$ when most stores charge 5-6$. I have seen large great looking fancy goldfish and medium sized koi being sold for less than half of what the average store would ask. You get a 48 hour guaruntee which they honor generously. The husband and wife owners are honorable friendly people who are great to do business with.nnThey always have a good selection on hand which includes the staples of the hobby and some neat niche species. If they don't have what you want on hand they can almost certainly order it for you and get it it for a price that is competitive with online wholesalers (and much better than any other brick and mortar store).nn10/10

This place is great. Got a starting fish kit for my daughter's Birthday. It's just a little Mom and Pop's fish store but the owners are super friendly and very knowledgable. Their prices are competitive enough to Amazon and big chain stores but you feel not guilty shopping here helping a working family out. I support small business so this place is awesome and worth the short drive. Their dog's are awesome too! We will be back and I highly recommend the Fish Barn to everybody.

Good service and assortment of fish and plants. Was able to buy duckweed after searching for days at alternate pet shops. All my shrimp are healthy and happy.

The owners are very knowledgeable and help you find exactly what you are looking for! If they don’t have what you are looking for they are very accommodating and will do what they can. Would recommend to anyone looking for cool fish and other aquatic species.
