Petland Iowa City

On a trip and found myself at Petland looking for some toys to bring back to my fur babies. I was greeted and helped by Angel Mills. She was very pleasant and helpful. She helped me pick out toys and treats. My fur babies were very happy. Thanks Angel, definitely will be back when I am visiting again!!

Before I get to the review, I'd like to give a shout-out to Hannah (I hope I got the spelling right) & everybody else at Petland IC. It was 100% worth the 100 mile drive. With that out of the way: this is an amazing store staffed by very nice people. This is going to sound corny, but these people have a very positive energy. It is the only place that I know of in Iowa that sells puppies (other than say, directly from a breeder). The puppies have been weaned. They have been under a veterinarian's care. They have been well looked after. You will pay considerably more for a dog here than going directly to a breeder. However, I believe that the experience is worth every penny. All of their available dogs are listed on their web page along with a photo. If you want to visit, I highly recommend calling ahead. We had absolutely no problem getting in on a Thursday. It wasn't crowded. Still maybe, call.

Went to Petland to look for a puppy and the first worker that helped us look for one was very nice and helpful. Then the store manager tried to help us with financing and figuring out a financial plan to buy a dog. It did not go well and she was not much help. Not to mention the price of the dogs, which were way over priced. As we kept looking at dogs we over heard the manager talking about us to the other employees, with not so kind statements. This did not make us feel welcomed at all! Some great employees but would not recommend buying a dog from here.

Love your store, very clean, amazing pets!! Was helped by Angel Mills. She was very knowledgeable and helpful on helping me pick out the right things I need for my puppy! Definitely coming back for sure!

Hannah was AWESOME!!!!! We went in to meet a cute Doberman girl they had we spent an hour with this sweet girl Hannah checked on us several times never made us feel pressured into buying her gave us time to talk alone and showed us a few tricks to help train! We could tell she took pride in her job and cared alot for the animals there. We are very pleased with our sweet Doberman and the way we was treated! THANK YOU HANNAH
