Waitress assaulted my friend a few years ago. My friend had taken a half step back and accidentally bumped into the waitress. She unfortunately spilled a drink she was carrying. My friend apologized. The waitress came back with a drink and poured it on top of my friend's head, ruining his clothing. I told her that her response was unprofessional and immature. She proceeded to call security and have me and my friend leave the bar. It was really a disappointing, terrible way for DC's to respond. I emailed the company and messaged them on Facebook, but no response. Used to be my favorite bar in Iowa City, now I refuse to pay them another cent.

If you would like to be aggressively removed from the building by security who will not reveal their names for false accusations, this may be the place for you. I was forcefully removed with little ability to walk down the stairs safely. I remained calm, but the security guard was very erratic and frightening to the point where I feel that they were not safe at all. I would not be surprised if they were under the influence. If this is the way a business is run, it is not for me.

Great drinks, decent bar if all you're looking to do is stand around or sit with friends.
